La 35.ª edición de los Premios Primetime Emmy tuvo lugar el 25 de septiembre de 1983 en el Pasadena Civic Auditorium de Pasadena, California. Fue emitida a través de la cadena NBC con Eddie Murphy y Joan Rivers como presentadores.[1]​

M*A*S*H se convierte en la serie con mayor número de nominaciones en la categoría de mejor serie de comedia (11 nominaciones en sus 11 temporadas), en la cual resultó ganadora en 1974; sería igualada por Cheers en 1993.
