Carrera
Ha aparecido en muchas series de televisión en una carrera de más de treinta años; sus trabajos más notables fueron en las series Taggart, Hornblower, Cold Feet y Los Tudor. Su papel más conocido es el de Ser Barristan Selmy[1] en la serie de HBO, Game of Thrones.[2]
Vida personal
McElhinney está casado con la dramaturga y actriz Marie Jones, con la que tiene tres hijos. La pareja tiene su propia compañía, Rathmore Productions Ltd.
