Los premios MTV Europe Music Awards 2014 (también conocidos como los MTV EMAs) se llevaron a cabo el 9 de noviembre de 2014 en Glasgow, Reino Unido.[1] La anfitriona de la gala fue la rapera Nicki Minaj.[2]

Los nominados fueron anunciados el 16 de septiembre de 2014. 5 Seconds of Summer obtuvo ocho nominaciones, seguidos de Katy Perry, Ariana Grande y Pharrell Williams, con siete, seis y cinco respectivamente. El período de votación inició el mismo 16 de septiembre y finalizó el día 8 de noviembre.[3]
One Direction y 5 Seconds of Summer fueron los máximos ganadores con cinco premios, seguidos de Ariana Grande y Katy Perry con dos premios cada una.[4]
